Words
A point per ten
Up to 2,000 words a day count. After that, keep writing for the love of it.
Rewards
Levels, streaks, 22 badges and three small quests a day. They reward showing up, not word-count vanity. Everything is counted on your own device, and there is nothing to buy. Ever.
The rules
Words
Up to 2,000 words a day count. After that, keep writing for the love of it.
Pasting
A big paste isn’t writing. Paste a novel, get zero points and our quiet disappointment.
Quests
Always one about words, two about the craft. +25 each, and a bonus for all three.
Badges
Each with its own small joke. Earn one and it says so, once, at the bottom of the screen.
Streaks
Any writing counts. Missed a week? There’s a badge for coming back, not a guilt trip.
Privacy
No leaderboard, no feed, nobody watching. It’s between you and the page.
Levels
Ten levels. Some of them unlock small things: a caret in a new colour, a different celebration, a bell for when you hit a goal.
Every badge
Write your first 50 words.
The hardest 50 words you’ll ever write. Done.
Write 500 words in a day.
Your fingers are officially warm.
Write 1,000 words in a day.
A thousand words. Some of them were even good.
Write three days running.
Once is luck. Three times is a habit starting.
Write seven days running.
Seven days. The page is starting to expect you.
Write thirty days running.
Thirty days. You are, technically, a writer now.
Write between 1 and 4 in the morning.
Nothing good happens after 2 a.m. Except, apparently, this scene.
Write before 7 in the morning.
Words before coffee. Who are you?
Write again after a week away.
No guilt. You’re here. That’s the whole trick.
Bring your world into the page with @ ten times.
Everyone who’s anyone is in this chapter.
Give five characters a page in the Study.
Five people now live in your head rent-free.
Write down ten world notes.
Here be dragons. Probably. You’d know.
Leave yourself a line for tomorrow.
Future you says thanks.
Finish a writing sprint.
Timer done. Heart rate: literary.
Ask what the story knows five times.
You checked. Your readers will never know how close it was.
Run the continuity check.
Grey eyes in chapter two, brown on the roof. Not on your watch.
Mark five scenes complete.
Five scenes, done done. Not ‘done for now’. Done.
Cut 300 words from a scene in one sitting.
It was beautiful. It had to go. We’re sorry for your loss.
Get past halfway to your finish line.
The middle is where books die. Not this one.
Reach your finish line.
You finished a draft. Most people never do. Go outside.
Export something.
It exists outside this app now. Terrifying. Great.
Finish all three of a day’s quests.
Three for three. Show-off.
Today’s quests
Picked for the day and the same all day. Always one about words; the other two from these:
