What’s new

what changed.

Most recent first. Small fixes ship most days; these are the ones you’d notice.

A calmer studio. Three ways to write: Write, Focus (only your line is lit, and it stays in the middle) and Zen. Formatting appears when you select words, and nowhere else. Six page styles instead of eleven. The studio opens with a sixth of the code it used to load, and the editor arrives in the background while you read the Atelier. Your desk is one line now, and your note for next time sits where you stopped writing.

Write on two devices without losing a word: if the same scene changed on both, Buildblur puts the two together, paragraph by paragraph, and keeps both versions of any line you changed both ways. Saving to your account retries by itself after a dropped connection. Export a novel to Word, in standard manuscript format. Share links now open for everyone you send them to, and you can turn any link off. Pasted words no longer earn points. Adapt takes a file now, and can grow a synopsis, notes or a chapter into a full script or a full draft: it plans every scene, then writes each one.

Adapt: turn a novel into a screenplay, or a script into prose, scene by scene. Instant and free, or a proper rewrite with the AI. Your original never changes. Writers can switch off anonymous usage counts in Settings → Privacy.

More shapes to start from: short films, TV series, limited and web series, stage plays and audio drama; flash fiction, short stories, novellas, book series and collections. No length caps. Typing is faster on long scenes, character names finish themselves in scripts, and share links are safer.

Scripts: title pages, scene numbers and (CONT’D) in the PDF, and scene numbers in Final Draft and Fountain. The studio works on a phone. No more lost words when you switch scenes or close the tab right after typing. Today’s count, streaks and the session recap count the words you actually wrote, on your own calendar day. A weekly reminder to back up.

The continuity check now reads your world: for each character and place it collects what the page says about them and quotes the two lines that disagree. It throws out anything it can’t quote. Also: the authorship record; real screenplay elements with Final Draft and Fountain in and out; projects reopen where you stopped; a finish line; one in-app dialog instead of browser pop-ups; this site.

Your writing moved to your browser’s database (gigabytes of room, not megabytes), with a warning if a save ever fails and a one-file restore. The AI reads the live list of free models and moves to the next one when a provider is busy. An incomplete project can no longer blank the home screen.

Characters and world notes you can type into the page with @. Names that aren’t in your world yet appear under the page. Every AI ask carries your writing’s measurements and your world. The Three-Act template got real three-act scenes.

The new-project wizard no longer stalls on its second step.
